By using the Ewe Dictionary ("the Dictionary"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Dictionary.

2. Dictionary Content

The Dictionary provides Ewe-English-French translations, pronunciations, and example sentences. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the completeness or correctness of any translation. The Dictionary is intended for educational and reference purposes.

3. Community Submissions

By submitting a word suggestion through our Suggest a Word form:

  • You confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, display, and publish the submission as part of the Dictionary.
  • You agree not to submit copyrighted, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
  • We reserve the right to edit, modify, or reject any submission at our sole discretion.
  • Submissions are reviewed by our editors before publication.

4. Intellectual Property

The dictionary structure, design, code, and original curated content are protected by copyright. Individual word entries contributed by the community become part of the collective dictionary. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Dictionary without permission.

5. Audio and Video Content

Pronunciation audio files and sign language videos are provided for personal, educational use. You may not download, redistribute, republish, or use them for commercial purposes without explicit written permission.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or malicious content.
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Dictionary's functionality.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, spam, or overload the Dictionary.
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Dictionary is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or damages arising from the use of the Dictionary, including but not limited to reliance on translations, audio pronunciations, or example sentences.

8. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Information collected through the Dictionary (such as community submissions) is used solely for the purpose of maintaining and improving the Dictionary. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Dictionary after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
